Activities
The Girls’ Brigade is a membership organisation that specialises in working with churches to provide fun and inspiring local groups (known as companies) where girls and young women can belong, achieve and discover Jesus! GB companies are for girls and young women, and meet most weeks of the year in safe and friendly environments.
Although we are a Christian organisation, we are all inclusive and work to ensure all girls feel welcome and safe.
Badges are achieved throughout the year and awarded at Presentation Evenings, where the girls demonstrate their ongoing success and achievements. There are regular social events, with more fun and games such as bingo, beetle drives and coffee evenings.
In the summer, over 8’s can attend weekends away. Two days full of activities and fun, in some great surroundings and excellent fellowship.
So why not come along and brighten up your evening with fun, games and friendship.
The cost is just £1 per night – with no joining or annual fee.

There is currently a fee of £5 and then “Subs” of £1 per week paid termly or half termly. Girls may attend for 2-3 weeks before deciding if they wish to join.

We are a modern, active unit, allowing the girls to experience activities that are both educational and lots of fun. Activities include: archery, climbing, crafts, fire lighting, theatre visits, bingo and cooking. We also encourage the girls to experience the ‘great outdoors’ by going on annual camps or PGL (outdoor activity centre) weekends.
